About

Celebrate the memory of a loved one this October while supporting Sue Ryder. Get together with family and friends to walk 5k or 10k under the stars to remember someone special, raise funds, and help create a future where everyone has access to care and support at the end of their life.

With entertainment on route and featuring the incredible Starlight Express train ride, with thanks once again to Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, this will be a truly special and memorable night.

Refreshments will be available to purchase at the start of the walk, with water and a snack available for each participant at the halfway point on route.  We’ll also provide additional drinks and goodies for everyone crossing the finish line.

Please come dressed appropriately for the weather, especially as it will be October, and wear good walking shoes/footwear. Although the route will be lit with street lighting as much as possible, it is also advisable to bring a torch with you.

By taking part in Sue Ryder Starlight Hike you’re helping our specialist teams to provide expert care which means the end of people’s lives can be filled with friendship, family and love in their final moments together. Sadly, almost all of us will experience the loss of a loved one - your support can help more people get the end-of-life care they need and deserve.
